Growing up, I traveled across multiple countries, which deepened my understanding of diverse cultures, languages, and behavioral patterns. This unique exposure cultivated a subconscious ability to empathize, a cornerstone in my UX design career. My interest in user experience began during these formative years, observing my family adapt to new environments, and analyzing mental models that drive our actions.

After earning my master's in design, I started my career with non-profits, creating global brand identities and teaching design at the university level. My formal UX journey began at IBM, where I developed solutions for B2B digital transformations. At Lenovo, I led usability for the Out-of-Box experience across all ThinkSystems, advocating for user needs at an organizational levels. My role at UnitedHealth Group involved complex projects such as a POC payment platform and an AI-driven clinical decision system, including a major healthcare platform now serving millions in India. Seeking to impact at a granular level, I moved to Omnicell, where I led the integration of diverse products into a unified platform, setting strategic directions for future technologies. With over eight years of experience leading design teams in healthcare, I am committed to enhancing user engagement through thoughtful design. I like to delve into complex systems and advanced technologies. Connect with me if I can help support your team.

On this journey, I've grown in so many ways, both personally and professionally. Over the last few years, through scribbling in notebooks and jotting down thoughts at the end of every day, I mapped my learnings:

  1. Joy in Teamwork: I learned quickly that design is about connecting people. Design teams can unite diverse perspectives to create exceptional products for our users. I enjoy collaborating and forming friendships across multi-functional teams, all driven by the shared goal of building user-friendly products.

  2. Making Connections: I refined my approach to articulating design choices, bridging the gap between engineering and product. By aligning design decisions with business objectives, I learned to clearly highlight the pivotal role of design in enhancing product functionality, fostering innovation, and driving strategic outcomes. It is like being a translator between different worlds, showing how our design choices can drive the business forward.

  3. Leading with Influence: My journey has shown me the power of leading by example and influence, especially in a big, global team. I have leaned on facts and figures to guide decisions, aiming to inspire and motivate those around me. With the ability to influence, designs pervasive impact touches every aspect of product.

  4. Empathy First: My best work came from environments where I felt safe and supported, where mistakes were okay because they help us learn and grow, where trust and genuine care are the foundations. I prioritized fostering trust and authenticity among peers and mentees, nurturing a culture of support and understanding.

  5. Pursuit of Excellence: Excellence isn't a fixed destination; it is really about pushing myself and setting personal benchmarks. This approach does not just lift my spirits—I have notices, it encourages those around me to aim higher, creating a wave of positive energy and drive across the team.
